Cortijo La Nava is on the outskirts of Villanueva de Trabuco, one of Spain’s famous whitewashed villages. The central plaza has several bars and cafes where you can sit, relax with a glass or two of vino and soak up the atmosphere of “Real Spain” There are also many authentic Tapas bars and traditional restaurants for you to enjoy.

La Nava is also perfectly situated for sightseeing. If you are looking for a little culture, The Alhambra Palace in Granada and La Mezquita in Cordoba are a must and are both approximately an hour’s drive from La Nava. If you prefer to take advantage of Spains slower pace of life there are many areas of outstanding beauty to explore, such as Lake Iznajar, El Chorro, El Torcal and Alhama de Granada to name a few!

Other places well worth a visit are Seville, Antequera, Ronda and Malaga.

The costa del Sol is a 40minute drive away through dramatic mountain passes, offering miles of sandy beaches, fantastic “Chiringitos” and amazing fish restaurants. Amusing the family is easy in this part of Spain. There are water parks in Torremolinos and Fuengirola and if you want to treat the kids to a dolphin show and be entertained by the sea lions Selwo Marina is also in Benalmadena together with Tivoli, the famous fun park.

The City of Malaga is only a 50 minute drive away. Whilst there take advantage of the array of fantastic shops that line the Calle Larios, people watch with a café con leche in one of the many plazas and by night wander up the meandering narrow streets leading up to the Cathedral and savour some tapas in one of the many bars that Malaga has to offer.
